It seems that the pixel 5 has not migrated beyond android 13. The most recent e/os update to 3.7 has not added any new security patches. Does this mean that pixel 5 owners will have to purchase a different/more recent phone to benefit from e/os security patches going forward?
Pixel 5 is available at a16 as a community build. It was previously said that one cannot change from official to community without Format data as the build keys were different but community builds are no longer covered in documentation on a device where official exists.
I do not see any mention of the possibility of OTA Android version upgrade in /e/OS Smartphone Operating System > Development Updates the last mention in a quick search was
