Pixel 6a won't power on after eOS install

Hello. I have a Pixel 6a. After going through the whole process of unlocking it and running the command-line based installation for eOS ( this set: Install /e/OS on a Google Pixel 6a - “bluejay” ), the process said it was complete…but the phone will no longer power up. At all. Not with a normal power button press. Not holding it for 30 seconds. Not with the power and volume-down button pressed. I tried charging it for an hour and coming back to it - no change. It’s just a totally inert, dead brick.

adb no longer sees the device either, not that it’s a surprise since it’s off.

It’s unlikely to be a hardware or battery issue since the phone’s been in active use up until now. Any suggestions for how I might be able to get this to turn on again?

Thanks!

First we need a sign of life.

Try the usual button combinations power button + vol down to make boot into bootloader (fastboot) if I remember correctly.

But the first combination is all three buttons for like 20 seconds, this should do a force shutdown a bit different than just power button.
