I bought a pixel 7 at the beginning of the year and flashed e os. after some time the mobile internet went down. no connection. Wlan worked. after a new flash of e os, it worked again. After about 10 days it was gone again. Latest /e/ (e-2.7-u-20250111460593-community-panther.zip) I haven’t changed anything, just rebooted. Tried everything possible. Phone calls work. It’s an e-sim. I changed the APN. Restarted. e-sim deactivated and reactivated. chatted with telecoms service, received new e-sim. no change. So I thought it must be a hardware error. ordered a new pixel 7 to move the apps over as easily as possible. flashed yesterday. e-sim installed. 5G works. great. apps transferred. this morning - no mobile internet again. no connection to the telekom network. but phone calls work. wlan too. reset networks. no change. it seems that nobody else has this problem apart from me. at least i haven’t found anything in my search. i’m at a loss. it’s very unlikely that i’ll get two pixels with the same hardware error. i’ve also thought about what settings i’ve changed that might have something to do with it. but undoing it hasn’t worked. i’m so annoyed that i’m already thinking about putting the original firmware back on and using it…
does anyone have any ideas what else i could do?
Warning: Make sure that you can send and receive SMS and place and receive calls (also via WiFi and LTE, if available), otherwise it will not work on /e/OS as well. Additionally, some devices require that VoLTE/VoWiFi be utilized once on stock to provision IMS.
I’m sorry, I don’t understand. Everything worked for 10 days. Wifi telephony was on. Sending and receiving text messages was no problem at all. What should I have done in advance?
it seems that it is a problem with deutsche telekom. I had tried an alternative SIM card in the slot, which didn’t work either. Now I’ve bought mobile data for a month for my vodafone card, which didn’t have any mobile data before, and lo and behold, the mobile internet works (so far).
Perhaps that is a factor after all. In the meantime, the Vodafone Sim no longer establishes an Internet connection either. What I find strange is that it worked for a few days at the beginning. And then suddenly it stopped. It’s just technology. You don’t always understand it. But since I seem to be the only one with this problem, it must be my fault, or a fault with the device/settings/flash process.
