Pixel 8 fingerprint scanner unusable

Hi,

I just bought a used Pixel 8 and flashed /e/os 3.6 on it (with some help).

Now I can’t setup the fingerprint scanner because as soon as I try to set it up, it says it is impossible and I should contact a repair shop.

Trying it from the initial setup wizard gave the same error.

Of course I didn’t think about testing it while the phone was still under the stock android so I don’t know if it was working before installing /e/os.

Is it a known issue?

I was expecting to use it for unlocking so it bothers me a lot

Ok, I will reply to myself for once, I found and used google’s dedicated online repair/calibration process and it worked for me, although my phone is under /e/os!

I feel relieved abut it!
