Hello all,
for a pixel 8 pro the device as new part comes with an android v16.
Currently the last eos version is for A15.
Is that really an important point to downgrade the installed android version of the device before the flash into eos_xxx_A15 ?
Is that a problem to potentially brick the device?
Or no problem to flash eos-A15 upon an android 16?
Has someone already flash a pixel 8 pro with eos?

Warning: The May 2025 update for Pixel 6 (6, 6 Pro, 6a) and Pixel 8 (8, 8 Pro, 8a) devices contains a bootloader update that increments the anti-roll back version for the bootloader. This prevents the device from rolling back to previous vulnerable versions of the bootloader. After flashing the May 2025 update on these devices you won’t be able to flash and boot older Android 15 builds.
and Install /e/OS on a Google Pixel 8 Pro - “husky”
Tip: Before installing /e/OS on the Google Pixel 8 Pro husky for the first time, install the latest stock OS version 15 build on the device
So downgrade within Google Android nor by /e/OS is going to be an option.
Might you have a16 from before May 2025 ?? I think no – in a quick search I think this is the earliest a16 16.0.0 (BP2A.250605.031.A2, Jun 2025)

Even if not recommanded, you could try,
restoring stockOS should be easily possible.
Otherwise you must wait for some Unofficial /e/-a16 build.

what’s this BP4A.260105.004.E1? gives info from bootloader too? seems pretty new from 05.01.26 …
I’ve no data then for loosing something that not a problem. I just only avoid to brick it unnecessary.
waiting for the a16 by eos is an option. the v3.4 is currently out.
maybe the a16 come by the next one v3.5
probably in 1 month or 2… 
Last years new versions came each time earlier than the previous year, so, why not being optimist…
the point is that I’ve samsung s10+, and till now it works well, and could work further a long time I thing.
The only thing that I didn’t remark by the usage of it, is the usage of Volte & vowifi, which are not supported from eos, & means that by calling with the phone app the phone can’t tel through the vowifi and by a 4g/5g it switch to 2g because in germany the 2g is stil as backup. that really awfull connection.
Had so many problem by important call (bank, doctor etc..) where the connection was hacked, too low. some people plug simple off.
Now i’d like to have a device without some spared sw part.
fairphone & switchphone are really low class i find… the Hero is too high premium
flashing now with a15, would mean that really soon I should/could flash with A16. don’t want to make double job…
I try to check by me how it is important to get it asap.
And don’t want to have it bricked
by the way, which kind of upgrade would happen their to upgrade from eos a15 into eos a16.
by official eos devices it works with a gui?
by community device is that still with pc & adb as 2nd part to flash?
no gui on the phone?
