Posting here because possibly incorrect posting in Outage thread

Now that the murenacloud is still partially back I still have sync switched off. However, since this has happened I find that all my screenshots have been uploaded without my ‘consent’. Even after finding a setting that requires my password/PIN to delete or move files this is still happening. Why?

Still no answer to my query. Why?

This should not happen if sync is disabled. Pl raise an issue on gitlab. Mark it confidential if required as developers may need logs to check.

Just checked and it has done it again today. What is the link to GitLab? Cloud under e on GitLab says inactive.

Thanks Manoj. Will have to login later as got builders in and not got password to hand.

I’ve setup a new e GitLab account, but once in cannot find any reference for a template! I’ve used the help desk instead of GitLab page as not getting anywhere fast.

As mentioned in the guide above this is where you start raising issues. It opens up the templates specific for issue.

I was using my PCLOS Debian desktop. Neither Chromium or Firefox showed the Template correctly. Have created issue on phone this a.m. Many thanks.

Update: I was bemused by an email from support, the contents of which were:

" Hello,

When you add a murena.io account, files are synchronised by default.

This is your Murena cloud account. You have the option to increase your cloud storage, by buying a paid plan, or alternatively you can delete files from your account.

If you want to choose which types of files to be uploaded, you can do this from:

settings > accounts> murena.io > account sync, by disabling what you don’t need.

If you prefer not to use a cloud account at all, you can also remove your account from settings > accounts > murena.io > remove account. In that case, nothing will be saved on the cloud, including your contacts etc."

From day 1 I have never synchronised, but chosen what files to store in my murena cloud. I upgraded from the free 1 Gb to an annual subscription for 20 Gb. Forgive me for thinking this but this feels like a move to get things sucked up to the cloud that I don’t want to get sucked up to the cloud and then end up with a notification I have run out of space. I’m beginning to feel like taking out a lifetime large storage with pCloud if this poor attitude continues, and yes, screenshots are still present on the cloud which should not be there, and there is still a warning that the service is not fully functional. What is the point of me paying for an annual subscription when the service has now been down for shy of 7 months! Helpdesk need to get their house in order. I decide what I want to go to a cloud service not the cloud service choosing for me. Also why is there a folder called devices with my Fairphone 3+ being itemised as “unknown device”? Why is my rom settings present? Why is their a .csv of all my applications? Why are my screenshots still in the murena cloud? This is a breach of privacy!:scream:

OK, today I noticed I have 16 Gb of files sucked up to murena cloud global while I have synchronisation turned OFF! I am also being advised I am running out of space. Why? Because murena has uploaded files without my consent. Additionally I don’t want all those apps listed. I would like the option to delete these (Gallery, Contacts, Documents, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Notes, Tasks, Spot, Murena Smartphones, Activity, Carnet, Deck, Bookmarks, Donate, News, Passwords - I don’t need or want any of them showing in my cloudspace). Before the outage that occurred last year I chose what files I wanted uploading. If this is not possible I may have to close down my storage and pay tons more to pCloud if murena is not respecting my storage wishes. :scream::scream::scream:

OK, so I have downloaded all my data that was in the Cloud, leaving just 1 Gb which I think will be all my emails - do I need to move these to my Computer inbox? When can I start to manually upload the files I want to share? I don’t want files to be pushed to the cloud which is what the guide has hinted at with the new version of murena cloud. Some clarity please.
