Problem receiving texts with GS290 from e

I recently bought a GS290 from e.
IM am having problems receiving some texts.

I’ve downloaded different messaging apps but still same problem.
Any ideas how to remedy same?
I can text off another phone which my phone wasn’t receiving texts off, when I changed its settings. It seems the messaging app on my phone isn’t compatible with all texts or something

A lot of my texts are not coming through.
I changed settings on a different phone to SMS only and texts from that phone noe come
through.
I’ve downloaded different messaging apps in my own but problem still persists with some phones.

Anything I can do on my end?
