The app contacts is not localized/translated in Italian and contacts saved there are not editable. Can only edit them from the phone to the cloud, not vice versa. When I try to do it, it just says “unable to update the contact”

is this still occuring? I can both see the Contacts app device side translated if I set the system language to Italiano. So too I can see the murena.io webapp Contacts translated to italian and can edit contacts on both sides.
It is now available in Italian, the issue with contacts being imported from other platforms persists. I would also point out that some menu entries (not only under contacts) are still not-transalted, which is perfectly fine for me, but results in an ugly mixed language menu which some may consider “beta” just for that.
You can also help with the translations or report an issue by raising a bug with details of where you are seeing this.
is the source (before import) of non-editable contact entries in the webapp a vcf or another file format? how could I reproduce?
if vcf, an entry would look like this from BEGIN:VCARD to END:VCARD
you can also export from the webapp and compare to before import
