Problems upgrading samsung galaxy s10 from android 13 to 14

Tried a manual upgrade of my s10 from e-2.7-t to e-2.7-u and I managed to flash the new recovery to the phone, but booting the phone immediately into recovery was impossible. The button combinations was impossible! Now I think maybe I need to install the original OS on the phone first or something. Upgrading other phones to major versions has never been this hard…and I’m about to give up. But I don’t want to add another phone to the land fill. Can someone give me some direction?

Go into android settings, search for advanced power menu, enable it will allow you to reboot directly into recovery mode…

.

Here Update firmware on beyond1lte | LineageOS Wiki you will find newer needed firmware parts to flash without dataloss

Sorry, I didn’t quite understand the process, I’m a bit of a noob. The firmware mentioned, is that the OS or is it some other piece of the puzzle.

I am aware of the advanced boot menu, but the problem is that I have to boot immediately into recovery, without booting into android. This, as far as I understand it because the new recovery that I try to flash, revert to the old one if it boots to android instead of recovery.

It Contains android 13 needed partitions other than system that is provided by /e/.

Yes, you need to boot into download mode and use one of these software :
Odin or Heimdall or Thor or Galaxy-Flasher.
