I’ve used gcam and a few other forks on a few devices on entry level to flagship phones over the years. None of them are as good as the stock camera apps. They either hang after the shutter snaps, or poor nighttime photography comparatively. Night sight mode is downright awful. I’m curious if maybe I’m doing something wrong or if there are better, more reliable options other than gcam.
Also, are there any open source/privacy respecting apps that can process pictures to upscale, reduce blurriness, improve lighting, etc?
The one thing I miss about my stock Pixel 2xl is the great pictures it took. Lastly, apologies if this is the incorrect place for this question. If that’s the case, please lmk. I’ll happily move or remove the post.
