I’d like to read, from my phone, a SMS that have been received while the SIM card was inside a 4G modem.
I tried with the default app ‘Message’, but it seems unable to access the SIM card.
Someone know how to do that ?

I’m not certain this will work for a stored SMS message, but you could try using an eSIM reader/writer in conjunction with an app like JMP Chat’s JMP SIM Manager (available from F-Droid).
You can find eSIM readers/writers on Amazon. The one from EIOTclub is fairly cheap (and you don’t have to use the EIOTclub app if you have the JMP SIM Manager app). Attach a USB-A to USB-C adapter to use it directly on your phone.

I can insert again the SIM in the 4G modem, and access messages vith AT commands.
But the goal is to access them when the SIM is in the phone.
