Realme 8i - spaced (update)

Latest unofficial build of the realme 8i was based on a LOS 20 ROM with no NFC.
There’s new ROMs since :

This one is based on LOS 22.2 and includes Dolby Atmos

I’d really like to build it myself, but I don’t have the knowledge and the computer requirements

I made a build:
e-3.1.4-a15-20251010-UNOFFICIAL-spaced.zip

It is untested and I don’t have any instructions unfortunately.

Thank you, I will test that one.

Just installed it. What does not work :
App Lounge won’t install anything (“unknown error”)
Sometimes UI is very laggy (I don’t know why)
Maps takes a while to start
Workspace won’t start (I’m connected to murena)
Some glitches with notifications / transparency
Except all this, it is usable, and I’m happy with it. Thanks for building it.

Do you have any install instructions in case others want to use it too?

  1. Unlock bootloader, root phone and install twrp (see https://xdaforums.com/t/guide-realme-8i-narzo-50-unlock-bootloader-flash-twrp-and-root-rmx3151-rmx3286.4369399/)
  2. Go in TWRP
  3. Advanced > ADB sideload (select wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache)
  4. connect the phone to a computer with ADB installed
  5. Open a terminal in the directory containing the ROM file
  6. adb sideload <rom filename> (mount errors are fine)
  7. Wait the end of the sideload
  8. Stay in TWRP and go to Wipe > Format Data
  9. Format data
  10. Reboot and that’s it
