I’m in the market for a new mobile, and I’d really like a small handset, something like the Asus Zenfone series:
Unfortunately, it seems like Asus devices are poorly supported by /e/OS and Asus have been hostile to unlocking bootloaders and installing 3rd party OSes.
I know the trend over the last few years is larger and larger “phablet” style devices. Can anyone recommend some small devices that are well-supported on /e/OS?
I used a Zenfone 8 for about a year with /e/OS and it worked well. I think the only complaint is the battery isn’t ideal, but enough to get me through a day of normal use. I am actually selling it if you are interested, we could work something out, but no pressure. The bootloader is already unlocked and I think Asus might’ve removed the unlock tool. Anyway, /e/OS is installed and ready to go. I don’t have much other suggestions, maybe the smaller Pixel devices.
