Why this phone is not compatible? There was a guy who actually compiled an unofficial version years ago.
I don’t understand why not to build upon that…

The device has a great hardware and it’s a shame it’s not compatible

Yes, begonia is still supported by some other distros (such as crDroid → https://crdroid.net/begonia/9) so it would be cool to have official \e\ builds for it too.

Maybe there isn’t a maintainer for it ?
