Reduce output volume on calls

Hi there,

Does anyone know whether it is possible to further reduce the call volume, i.e. the volume of the sound heard through the phone speaker?

Problem: With some people (depending on how loud they speak or their phone), the sound (e.g. Signal messenger, phone) can be uncomfortably loud. Volume is already at lowest setting, set using the volume buttons of the phone.

Desired Solution: Find a way to change the “actual volume” of the lowest volume setting for sound. I imagine there must be a software solution, but no idea where to start.

Issue is on FP6 with both e.OS 3.3. and 3.4.

Thanks!

I have definitely experienced this on my Fairphone 6 running e/os as well. The current minimum call volume seems excessive!

The problem of minimum volume being too uncomfortably high persists on eOS 3.5. I tried several volume control apps, but they all seem to modify the same system settings.

Setting “disable absolute audio” in developer options makes the sound considerable more quiet (good) when using bluetooth headphons, but causes many cracky interruptions in the connnection (bad).

Any remedies suggested?
