Request: Motorola G 5G 2024 model sm4375 regulatory TMO xt2147-1 android 14 OEM unlocked root=true (Magisk) custom kernal no custom ROM

Somehow I managed to pick one of the hardest devices to find help with as far as mods go. I finally was able to find one complicated way to get Lineage that involves using another model. Apparently, as long as the hardware is the same, the second number in the model sm4375 which is 3 is the distinction that allows you to use find the hidden device tree. I have not yet initiated the switch to Lineage because I want to weigh all my options. I also like what I see from |e|os and would rather find a way to implement. If anyone can offer any guidance, please do. I am not a professional developer, but I know some things and am willing to learn. Overall, I want Google gone. Right now, I have Magisk and several modules working that detach apps from Google, block analytics, and try to bypass the relentless attempts by Google to regain full control of my device. I would rather not have to deal with it.
Also, to add, custom recovery like TWRP also not directly available. Have to use another devices TWRP and build from, but it commonly disables the touchscreen. Therefore I haven’t tried it yet. I do have bootloader, fast oot, and recovery mode access. Magisk can also pago back to stock a couple t8mestch boot images to use but I have lost wifi and had to

I think you’re trying to do the impossible. It takes time for alternative ROMs to catch up to late model phones. I would either wait some time for an officially supported ROM or pick up another phone off the compatibility list. You might be able to kludge something together for your 2024 model, but I just don’t think it would be worth the trouble, and it’s going to be a lot of trouble.

Also Motorola phones are not the best ones for a custom ROM. You have to go through Motorola to unlock the bootloader and based on what I’ve read about Motorola support, that could be an exercise in frustration. Pixel phones are the easiest for a custom ROM. OnePlus phones are easy too. And if you want a repairable phone, the Fairphones are easy to deal with as well.

Thanks for hitting me back man. I appreciate the help. I actually7nlocked the bootloader when i first got the phone. My mobile carrier wouldnt let me unlock, so i used a proxy to initiate the at&t unlock app that comes stock and then got the super long code from motorolla. They are actually very helpful and offer firmware and support through lenovo. I also didnt need a custom ROM, but Google had just become a thorn and microG wont spoof with stock.

Anyway, I went ahead and patched a kernal for another smx3xx model. Apparently it is true that if the 2nd # is the same as well as the hardware, you can use it as a base. I went ahead and made a lineage system image with the other device tree and flashed the vbmeta.img with verification disabled, deleted logical partition_a and then flashed the lineage system. Then i formated and rebooted out of fastboot. I chose to not include any GAPPS.

It was a success and surprisingly i kept root and Magisk came along for the ride, but it wouldnt update because topjohnwu didnt recognize its new architecture, and it updates all the time. So i got my stock boot image patched it with newly downloaded Magisk (with root disabled as i had to uninstall it and lose #) then i flashed the patched image. This partmade made me nervous but it worked. I am now enjoying lineage 22 as well as android 15 upgrade. Customization is endless, i have like 30x more storage, and no gapps. I actually have installed 94 apps already and still have more storage than with a vendor factory reset.

So, thanks for the reach out and I wish u the best.
