I was using Roon Arc on my previous not-/e/OS phone. Roon Arc is an app that allows Roon-users to connect with their Roon server. Installation from the AppLounge goes fine, but when launching the app, it is not loading correctly. It always gets stuck in its startup screen (the one showing the Roon Arc-logo).
My phone is a Fairphone FP4 5G. Currently with /e/OS 3.1.4, but the issue was there with previous versions as well.
I have the same problem too! The latest (and the beta) Roon Arc app just doesn’t start. I tried to check the error with Logcat Reader, but I didn’t understand what the error is.
The last Roon Arc app that works is version 1.63.344.The newer ones either can’t find my Roon server, or get stuck on the strating screen.
Maybe it’s something related to GMS?
I would appreciate it if someone helps, thanks!
Edit:
Yes, my assumptions were correct! I cloned the Roon Arc app to my “work profile” using the app called Insular (fork of Island), and then in the “work profile” I froze (disabled) the MicroG Services. Guess what, the Roon Arc app started without a problem.
So it seems that there is some kind of a conflict with the MicroG Services and Roon Arc. I don’t know if disabling MicroG services only for the Roon Arc app is possible. But you can use Insular as a (not good) workaround.
