Hello!
I use Lineage OS 21 on my Galaxy A5 2017 and it works really well, it is smooth. Is it possible to have /e/os on it with android 14 (like lineageos)?
Thanks!

Hello @Anatole, welcome to this Forum.
latest build available from the /e/team is “e-2.2-r-community” (based on LineageOS 18.1 / AOSP 11).
Please share sources of your LineageOS 21,
if they are compatible with /e/OS-U, @ronnz98 may attempt to build “e-2.5-u-unofficial”.
(other devices dropped in the “R” branch by the /e/team could have unofficial upgrade with the help of XDA developpers).
Thank you for your answer! I think we are on the English part of the forum so we are going to speak English but I’m French by the way.
Here is the rom: File folder on MEGA
The XDA thread:

This is due to the recent “october temporary outage” of /e/cloud infrastructure, will be resolved soon…
(legacy devices build download service is not the prior…)
Okay I saw this issue yes! Would you think it would be possible to build android 14 with /e/os?
Theoretically yes, but practically it would need a lot of tweaking and still would not guarantee that it will work

Lineage 19.1: MEGA | google drive | androidfilehost | changelog | compile from source
As i understand this (LineageOS 21 sources for compiling · GitHub), i think the developer reach to be up to date in his changes, and avoid forking…
I’m sorry, I don’t understand what you mean. But well, don’t worry, I’m not a dev ahah
Could you build it? Thank you! And no problem if you can not.
To build will be challenging, I do not have time yet for, I have other builds I prioritize. But maybe someone want to take the challenge? I would not try LOS21, rather LOS20 or LOS19
Android 11 is EOL, which means that Goolag will no longer be releasing Android security patches for Android 11 from spring 2024.
But there is still a current, well-maintained iodéOS 2.27 beta a5y17lte or official iodéOS 2.26 a5y17lte (based on LineageOS code).
