Samsung Galaxy builds for unsupported devices suggestions

Interestingly I tried installing lineage20 this after noon NZ time and it booted

I saw this version on the XDA forum… its based on the chagall device. Does camera work?

To be honest i didnt try the camera, its not something i tend to use on the Tab S

oh than its fine  I might try also a T build…

Be interesting to give any new builds a try

Do you fancy another non-Samsung device?

Nothing Phone (1)

Device CodeName: Spacewar

Development [ROM] UNOFFICIAL Lineage OS 20.0 + MicroG

LOS Rom: lineage-20.0-20230120-UNOFFICIAL-Spacewar.zip
LOS recovery: lineage-20.0-UNOFFICIAL-Spacewar-recovery.img

Source code
device tree
vendor
kernel
LOS
MicroG

ah yes. I saw that the Nothing Phone is now officially supported by LineageOS. The source code link does not work, but device and kernel are available at LOS github. Vendor files are available in, not sure what the best source is - I’ll give it a try!

Great! I’ve the NP1 in my hands and can test your ROM extensively.

It’s assumed that the best source comes from official LineageOS. They will certainly fully support the Glyph interface - unlike XDA @Vosky, whose ROM only show battery charge, but not notification sounds and other light signals.

I was able to get the correct vendor file for the Nothing phone (Spacewar) from theMuppets github

@ronnz98, you have chosen Nothing Phone (2) as the name on Android Filehost although the official name is Nothing Phone (1). Is there a special reason for that?

Nothing Phone (1) = Spacewar
Nothing Phone (2) = Pong

No reason, there was not a folder for Nothing Phone (1) so I took Nothing Phone (2).
The ROM is for Nothing Phone (1) Spacewar

The first official release of LineageOS 20.0 lineage-20.0-20230926-nightly-Spacewar-signed is public.

Your /e/OS e-1.16-t-20230926-UNOFFICIAL-Spacewar works fine!

Hi @ronnz98 did you get any other feedback from users of the sm-t700 testing your builds?

No I haven’t. And unfortunately I did also not succeed with /e/OS-T build for this device

That’s ok, appreciate the effort you have put in, my main tablet at the moment is a Galaxy Tab A8 which can only run custom GSI android R and S at present

Which Tablet is this? You can buy an old Samsung Tab S2 either 8" or 9.7". /e/OS is still working on these

The Tab A8 is the SMX200, ideally i want to find a Tab S5e as i know /e/ works on that tablet.

Yes, in my opinion the Tab S5e is currently the best tablet for custom ROMs like /e/OS. I have the LTE version since over one year and its very stable
