Samsung galaxy S3 i9305 - no SIM - trouble with GPS/AGPS

Using /e/ on a Samsung galaxy S3 i9305 with no SIM I can’t get any information out of the GPS.

Using https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.android.gpstest.osmdroid/ I don’t see any satellites. Can’t get a position on OSM And+ either https://f-droid.org/en/packages/net.osmand.plus/

Any tips about this ? It’s my first device with enwikipediaorg/wiki/Assisted_GPS and I might be missing something…

Try to change the location mode (you can do this directly in the location settings, or the location shortcut in the control/notification center.

I’ve tried multiple location mode settings. The “use mozilla location db” works rather well but is not very useful for a device with no SIM since GPS would be used offline mostly. The other two modes don’t work.
