Samsung Galaxy S6 lite gta4xlwifi in boot loop

Hi!

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite WIFI (gta4xlwifi) SM-P610 with /e/OS-T 1.20.

I’ve download 1.21 to install via sideload, as usual, followed the same procedure as always

  • Enable USB Debugging on your phone
  • Plug your phone to your computer making sure to use a good usb cable for data transfer
  • Open Terminal
  • Typed adb reboot recovery

and it went on a boot loop. :smiling_face_with_tear:

I’ve read this post Bricked Samsung S6 Tab Lite wifi and others related to gta4xlwifi but didn’t managed to fix the problem.

Any suggestion on how can I stop the boot loop?

You also can download directly into the device, and reboot to recovery by the advanced restart menu (enabled in settings → system → gesture) and simply “apply the update” without cable and computer…

Try to wipe cache…(from the recovery) it cost nothing…

Tab s6 lite is deffinitively THE WORST OF SAMSUNG SUPPORTED device to manage !

But I just can’t do anything… it’s in permanente boot. I can’t turn off. I can’t access any menu, nothing :frowning:

Hold All buttons at the same time ? For a long time…

You know that you have to plug the cable or be plugged.

Is battery charged ?

No, tried all possible combinations…

Have you been able to fix this?

Unfortunately no :frowning:
Any idea?

Does this not help?

Reboot and immediately hold Volume Up + Power while the device is connected to a PC via USB cable

I had no problem to reboot by pressing all keys and to access recovery and download mode but reflashing the recovery/system and cleaning cache did not help so I now ended up doing a factory reset and have a fresh OS now. But the launcher seems somewhat broken (keeps crashing) so I wonder if on the old system it was also the launcher causing the bootloop. Anyway, I have lost my data but have a working system again for now.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite WIFI (gta4xlwifi) SM-P610 with /e/OS-T 2.0 which is working well

No. But when I arrive home I’ll try again.
