Samsung Galaxy S8 - warning

Hi,
I’m using eROM on my old Galaxy S4 smartphone and I am very happy with it. Now I want to install eROM on my newer device, an Galaxy S8. I read the instructions how to do it and I’m not sure if the warning on the instruction page is necessary for me :" Warning : Do not attempt to downgrade your smartphone in case you are on Android Q / LOS 17.0 or Android Pie / LOS 16.x.
Downgrading a device from Q or Pie to Oreo or Nougat operating system can cause your device to brick and become unusable. If you are on these OS versions Please stop at this point and continue using your current Operating System.
The only way you can use /e/OS is if a similar or higher /e/OS build is available for your device."
My device is operating on Android Version 9.
Can you help me?

The warning message on /e/ documentation was added by mistake - but is not relevant for the “dreamlte” with stockROM Android 9.

You can unproblematic change to /e/ OS dev (pie).
