Samsung S8+ not possible via easy installer

I’ve tried installing the official version on my S8+ with the easy installer but they do not seem to work. The old installer cannot download the build and the new web-installer says my Phone is not compatible (altough it says it is on the main page).
“Ihr Telefon SAMSUNG_Android ist nicht kompatibel”.

Is this a bug or intentional?

Edit: My OS is a ubuntu-like System and I have e-os installed already but i cannot updage anymore for some reason (it worked before but now Im stuck on 2.2-r) hence why I want to switch to a stable version.

from /e/OS official dream2lte download

Thanks! I’ll give it a try later. But one part of the question still persists. Is the easy installer buggy or is this intentional moving forward?

Thanks so much, it went well without any problems! I didnt sideload it via adb but from internal storage. Didn’t know this was possible so thanks again. :slight_smile:

Yes ! bravo :
this is exactly how the built-in system updater do,
except, it download the file to /data/lineageos_updates, (hiden even if TWRP or a fille manager with root privilège can reach it)
when you have installed from /data/sdcard/download (visible internal storage)
it work also from /data/external_sd/folder-of-your-choice

Im not sure if I understand you correctly but I just downloaded it to /download and started it from recovery. Was this wrong? :thinking:
