Screenshots/browser downloads not syncing with cloud

recently my FP6 stopped syncing screenshots and jpegs downloaded via browser to cloud.
i tried restarting several times but no luck.
no settings changed, only thing changed is e/os updates…

not happy with FP6/ running e/os at the moment… :worried:

A first check would be

Settings > Accounts

Check Automatic app sync is ON

then

Settings > Accounts > your_murena.io_a/c

Are images toggled to sync? Will toggle on and off cause a sync to happen?

Time of last sync is expected to be recorded.

All settings as you mentionend above, all settings still ON.
Cycled the settings a couple of times without results.
Restarted device 4 times, without results.

If sync is totally failing (I suggest to take a screenshot first, showing last time of sync for all items) then you could try Re-authenticate.

Settings > Accounts > murena_account > My Account > Settings > tap named account > top right gearwheel :gear: > Authorisation > Re-authenticate.

It’s not totally failing, only the jpeg browser downloads.
New screenshots appear in the cloud again.

If the default Browser then

Browser > top right 3 dot menu > Downloads > top right :gear: > Download location

  • “Show hidden files” in Files app; is there a .nomedia file in that location. This blocks sync.

  • In my case, I set “Ask every time” Edit, correction, as I understand, this changes location from the default userdata to sdcard or ext_sdcard (as you say). Then it must be my “learned behaviour” to manually put .jpeg would go to /Pictures, apologies.

  • It might be interesting to copy / move all your downloaded .jpeg to a self created new folder.

No .nomedia file in the download folder
If i set download to ‘ask every time’ i’m only able to select ‘phone’ or ‘sdcard’,
I cannot select a folder nor a filetype.
Im using e/os browser as default.

since the 4.3 update when i open workspace it shows ‘running in browser’ and a button: ‘OK’ this is happening.
That notification is annoying and wasn’t there before 4.3…
