Setup wizard crashes after locking bootloader

By some miracle I got e/os installed on my Pixel 7. Boots up and goes through the setup wizard just fine. However, when I go back into fastboot to lock the bootloader, the setup wizard appears again and promptly crashes. I can’t go anywhere from there. If I go back into fastboot and unlock the bootloader, hey presto, it starts up just fine. Really don’t know what to do here. I don’t want to be walking around with an unlocked phone, but I can’t figure out how to lock it without the setup wizard crashing. Pls halp.

Sounds like Setup wizard crashes pixel 6a.

Factory Reset Protection frp kicks in if you do not remove all Google accounts, passwords and PINs before install /e/OS.

The fix is to return to the Stock ROM where the account previously existed, make contact with the account, remove it and pssswords and PINs.

Maybe that was it, I also wasn’t sure if I was running A15 so I reflashed it back to an earlier firmware build using Android Flash Tool, booted up stock without logging in, retried flashing e/os and it worked. I think the more crucial issue is that the first time I booted up e/os and went through the setup wizard before locking the bootloader and so got caught in a setup loop. Thanks for your help, sorry, it’s my first time flashing custom ROMs here.
