Shade launcher for /e/ 2.6.3?

Hello
I just get /e/ 2.6.3 (OTA) after flashing my second galaxy S9
Everyting is OK … except this damn bliss launcher
On my first S9 (stll living ,bought in 2021 by murena stuck to /e/ 1.18 r ) i use Shade which is fine
But impossible to find shade now , am i stupid , or any compatibility issue ?

Shade launcher 2020-09-01 is actually in IzzyOnDroid. But hey, the binary is four years old now. The GitHub repo is here.

Can this thing slide from the last (right most) page to the first (left most) page in one move?

I just upgraded my S9 to /e/ 2.6.3-t (it was just on previous version /e/ 2.5.1-t) and I also encounter a problem with the launcher.

I can navigate to settings menu by scrolling down from the upper screen bar, and then launch an application from there. But I cannot manage applications from the control bar on the bottom of the screen. It’s quite ennoying.

I just tried to manually downgrade to 2.5.1-t but I have an error:

ERROR: recovery: Current SPL: 2024-11-05 Target SPL: 2024-10-05 this is considered a downgrade
ERROR: recovory: Denying OTA because it’s SPL downgrade

Please keep me update if you find a valid solution (other than having to reinstall stock ROM and a “brand new” /e/OS on version 2.5.1-t…

By the way, the best solution would certainly be an official patch from /e/OS team, because I can install upgrades (but not downgrades).

EDIT: the simple solution was to install another launcher, and to define it as the default launcher. I simply did it through AppLounge that I was able to open (from params → applications). I installed KISS Launcher and Unlauncher. Both are open source and work perfectly with the current /e/OS version.EDIT: the simple solution was to install another launcher, and to define it as the default launcher. to evade ‘SPL downgrade’ error you could first downgrade the recovery partition to 2.5 (as I did) and then sideload the 2.5 rom image (should work with recovery twrp too)
but keep in mind, that the “update recovery” setting could interfere, so disable it first in the e/os if you can (to prevent the recovery partition to be upgraded at each startup)

Thank you for you answer!
Do I have to disable the option “Automatic Updates”?
I don’t see a specific options mentionning the “Recovery”.

Do you think they will solve this problem with the new monthly version? Thank you

I had the same problem. My solution was:

  1. Into recovery mode
  2. Into fastboot mode
  3. Recovery flashed from 2.6.3 s stable
  4. reboot to recovery
  5. format data
  6. Flash 2.6.3 s via ADB

If you don’t want to lose any daren, twrp bottles in the fatboot and make a backup first and delete via twrp and flash 2.6.3s
