Should MMI / USSD codes work?

Hello,

Got interested in testing MMI and USSD codes. Only *#06# (IMEI codes) seem to work however. *#07# (Test history) apparently also works as it clears the row but nothing is actually shown. I assume it works but test history is just empty as none of the test MMIs work.

Any idea should they work or is this a /e/OS decision to not include them? Tested with FP4 and Samsung S8 with same results.

I’d say USSD-codes should work in general but maybe not all of them do and certainly some are provider-specific.

Hi,
Please reade here: USSD codes doesn't work in phone app (#2874) · Issues · LineageOS / issues / android · GitLab.

hidden menu codes don’t work except for the one CuriousRom mentioned - we (LineageOS) don’t include the carrier components for that.

Not sure if that helps or if it’s OT but in my S7 eOS v2.4 many USM-USSD-codes are functional with my service provider (telekom/congstar)

Edit: got it, provider specific ussd are not the question :+1:

Thanks. This clears it.
