SMS do not arrive under e/OS

Unfortunately, I have noticed again that my Murena Fairphone 5 cannot receive SMS messages under e/OS (V. 2.3), at least temporarily.

It doesn’t matter whether I’m using 2FA via the bank, making purchases with my credit card or logging in with my cell phone number: The SMS messages don’t arrive for days. Restarts don’t help. Sometimes, however, messages arrive a few days later with a delay.

However, if I insert the same SIM card into another cell phone (e.g. my old Nokia 3210), the messages arrive immediately. So it must be a problem with e/OS - and not the network operator.

What is wrong with e/OS? Without 2FA via SMS, the Fairphone is useless, as I never use apps for 2FA, but if at all, my mobile phone number.

I have a similar problem.
Everything works, except receiving SMS / One Time Passcodes from banks.
I thought it was my provider so I just switched from Lyca to Lebara this morning… and the problem is the same.
I have checked the SMSC using ##4636## from the dialer, and it is correct.
Can anyone help please?

I have nearly the same problem with /e/OS on my Gigaset GS290 here in Germany now.
Did you get an error message poping up like “com.mediatek.ims.ImsApp is stopped again”?
Can you confirm that the relative SMS is definitely sent?
Or is it marked as “will be sent” or the like?
I am also just a user, so unfortunately I cannot offer a solution for you… :frowning:
