Hi,
after an e/os update, I no longer receive SMS reliably. One message app displays an error. Some SMS from contacts that I have chatted with before are received, however, no notification is shown.
Some 10 days ago I updated the e/os on my OnePlus Pro 8 IN2023 (Oneplus 8 Pro: New system updates are no longer displayed and cannot be installed (currently running March 2024 release)). I am currently running /e/OS2.7-u-20250111460550-community-instantnoodlep.
Since the update, my I no longer receive SMS reliable. I first encountered this when I no longer received the SMS from a 2-factor authentification. These SMS never arrive. However, some SMS arrive. As I did not receive authentification SMS, I installed another messenger app (Fossify SMS Messenger). This app constantly displays an error: “Error:android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException:no such co…” (More of the error message is not displayed).
In the settings, I unchecked “Pause app activity if unused” which does not seem to make a difference.
Also, when I make the pre-installed message app (version 10.1 foundation.e.message) again the default message app, it starts “syncing messages…” but does not finish this process, instead, a message appears that the app is not responding.
Has anyone an idea about what to try in this case?
