I spent around an hour figuring out how to install this release. Had issues with aborted update due to downgrade of a newer SPL version. Figured out that it is necessary to install the oldest builds available from lineage for…

  • dtbo.img
  • vbmeta.img
  • vendor_boot.img

I used files for version lineage-20.0-20240123.

Otherwise this release won’t install! The files should be added or documentation should mention this.

I wanna ask for an addition to this guide:

There’s a warning, that unlocking the bootloader will wipe the TA partition and that it should be backed up, before. If anyone could add a link to a guide and the necessary software for backing up the TA partition, that would be much appreciated.

The only stuff I found was

  1. TA Backup v2 (8 years old), which wants me to downgrade to Android 4.4 or something.
  2. Backup TA v9.11 (11 years old), which requires root. To get root, I only found guides requiring me to unlock the bootloader, which I want to avoid, because the TA partition isn’t backed up.

Neither seems to help me with my problem (did I get something wrong?), besides being somewhat outdated…

Another little thing: the guide says “Make sure that your model is listed…”, but this is already the guide of a listed device

You need to make sure that it is one of supported models listed on bottom of page. Basically only XQ-BC42 XQ-BX52 XQ-BC62 and XQ-BC72 are supported, there is rough;y 10 models total.

I have not made backup of TA partition and everything works (but fingerprint scanner, but I doubt that is the reason)
