That is not something that would need to be done under normal circumstances. The command fastboot flash recovery filename.img should do the trick. Correcting the typo (missing space character between ‘recovery’ and filename) should make the Install documentation correct
The install documentation should include a link to this TWRP recovery image as well as the /e/ Recovery. TWRP has more functionality, is a more mature product , and should be recommended above the /e/ Recovery
