Sparkasse Push-Tan-App does not work anymore

Just wanted to check whether others face similar problems.

Since very recently the S-pushTAN App (com.starfinanz.mobile.android.pushtan) from the German Sparkasse banking network does not work anymore with /e/. This is pretty annoying as this app determines whether the banking services with Sparkasse are usable with /e/ (or not).

The astonishing thing is that the app worked within /e/ for years. And: there was no recent app update. The latest app version is v4.7.0. from Mar 28, 2025.
Now the app considers the phone as a rooted device (actually it is not rooted).

Hi, same here with a oneplus 8 pro and latest /e/ OS.
Wondering if it would help if the bootloader is locked again?
Is your bootloader locked (mine currently isnt).

e-2.9-t-community

community branch has adb root as developer option, that counts towards rooted for the detectors

I am aware of that.
The thing I am wondering about is simply why this suddenly happens although I am on an unchanged APP version that still worked very recently.

(Or is there possibly a tweak on /e/"s side that could help to make the app working again)

are you sure on update? AppL is on update in background by default. It can also be dormant code behind an online feature flag, but see later reviews, seems update introduced

here are recent debug logs at microg (though I don’t think the issue belongs with them):

I just installed app version 4.8.2 (from uptodown.net), which was released today, and it works again.

Does anyone have a solution for this? Especially one that will work longer-term than installing an old version of the app?

It’d be a big hassle to need to change my bank because of this… But if that is what I need to do, does anyone have ideas of what banks (in Germany) which are unproblematic for people using non-stock android?
