Sturdy smartphone / Big battery / good camera (with /e/os)

Hi Great Community,

I’m looking for a new phone and want to install /e/os on it.

My main criteria are:

  • /e/os has to install/run fine on it.

  • As inexpensive as possible (100–200 € max., refurbished or secondhand).

  • With long lasting battery, as well.

  • sturdy display (I feel there are quite big differences in tolerating falls without the display cracking)

  • good camera (doesn’t have to be top, but decent )

Do you have any recommendations?

Thank you for your support!

Kind regards,

Sebi

PS: preferably no Pixel, just because I don’t like Google so much, but I’m open to be convinced if you think it would fit best

Hi,
When I was looking to buy my first smartphone, I checked out the Crosscall brand. Having used them at work, I knew they were good, rugged phones (with great cameras, too).
But since I didn’t want a Google-based system on it, I also checked to see if it was possible to install Lineage or /e/OS, but that wasn’t the case.
A quick search on a few forums shows that it’s not yet possible to run Lineage on them, so /e/OS isn’t an option either.

Good luck in your search for a sturdy degoogled smartphone. That is something that may interest me (currently using a Fairphone FP6, I would like to have a sturdy phone for hiking and outdoor activities).
