Switch to file transfer mode

When connecting the smartphone running e/os to a computer using a cable, the default mode is “charging”. What is the fastest way to change this to “file transfer mode”? Is there a button for this to do it quickly? Going into the settings menu’s en changing it every time is not very user friendly …

Default USB configuration is set in Developer options.

it´s a default setting that protects your data and it can easily be altered as @aibd pointed out.

Pulling down from the top of the screen should show a message about the connection, tapping this enables you to quickly change from charging to file transfer.
