Syncing Murena contacts to Android smartphone

I wanted to move away from Gmail so I signed up for a Murena mail. In time I’d like to buy an e/OS Fairphone but for now it’s just Murena mail and contacts I am using, on a Fairphone 4 with Android, not e/OS.

I had no problem setting up Thunderbird on my Android smartphone and using it with my Murena mail address. However, I have no idea how to sync my Murena contacts to my Android smartphone contacts app (and back)? I find no documentation either.

For a previous experiment with another non-Google email address I used DAVx5 following instructions from the mail provider. However, for Murena mail I find no such instructions. Please help?

DAVx5 is still what you use - /e/OS forks it to “Accountmanager”. The list of forks used is here (with davx missing, linked in gitlab though).

You go through System → Accounts → + → WebDAV and it should pickup both caldav and carddav (calendar and addressbook) after entering the domain. If it doesn’t, this is the manual.

Thanks for answering, but I don’t have /e/OS. I have stock Android, and a murena.io email address and contacts. I want to sync the murena contacts to my stock Android phone’s contacts.

murena.io is running nextcloud, DAVx5 talks to nextcloud, you install DAVx5 on stock Android to use murena.io for contacts and calendars.
