Synology Contacts synchronization

Using /e/OS Settings

Hi !

I just got my new Fairphone with pre-installed /e/OS, and so far I like it very much :slight_smile:

Now I am trying to synchronize the contacts from my Synology NAS. It is accessible from the outside with a dedicated DNS, so should be possible ! But no success yet :sweat_smile:

Here is what I did:

  • Go to Synology contact
  • Get the CardDav client sharing URL
  • On the phone, go to Contacts > Accounts > Add an account > Account manager contacts
  • Enter the URL, login and password
  • At this point, I have no error and the synchronization times are updated regulargy
  • However, when I select the created account, I get an empty selection page, although I have added a few contacts, so I can’t get any further

Any idea of what I can try to make it work, or how I can get any log files out of it ?

Did you that with the wifi or not ? If not, do with the wifi.

Well, I tried again today with different URLs and for some reason, it worked ! The other topic is about having both contacts and calendar synced, which I don’t want.
For the record, the URL to be used is the full one including the guid:
https://[address]:[5001]/carddav/[user]/[guid]
