Whenever I try to play a video using YouTube ReVanced, my device locks, the audio keeps playing in the background, and the screen flashes slightly about every second. I can’t unlock the phone or control playback, and I need to restart the phone to get unstuck, sometimes it restarts into recovery mode. If I don’t restart it myself, it will eventually hard crash and restart by itself, this also sometimes makes it go into recovery mode. I tried installing the regular youtube app and it doesn’t have this issue.
Now I’ve disabled the lock on my phone so that I can see what’s happening better and I disabled background play in revanced since it was coming up with a popup every time. Now if I pause the video fast enough after starting it I seem to be able to prevent the phone from shutting down.
It looks like the order of events is that when I start playing a video, the main navigation buttons and top bar disappears, and at the same time revanced will seem to lag, then System UI (com.android.systemui) will crash, then the phone will shutdown/restart. If I play the video, notice the lag in revanced, and then pause the video fast enough, I can prevent the phone from shutting down.
System info:

Might be relevant:
ReVanced Manager 1.24.0
YouTube ReVanced 20.12.46
Launcher: Lawnchair
I’m using the work profile managed by the Shelter app. There’s an instance of ReVanced Manager installed on both the personal and work profile, while ReVanced microG Services and YouTube ReVanced are both only installed in the work profile, Shelter is not set to freeze any of them. The Lawnchair launcher is only installed in the personal profile. The ReVanced microG Services have a google account linked but the microG Services that come with /e/OS don’t yet. When I tried the regular youtube app earlier I installed it on the work profile just like revanced is.
