Sind jetzt nur noch betreute Updates möglich? Ich habe auf 2 cmf Phones System-Updates versucht. Insgesamt habe ich ca. 90 Minuten für das fast vollständige Herunterladen gebraucht. So alle 2 bis 3 Minuten kam die Meldung, dass das Herunterladen fehlgeschlagen ist und ich habe habe Fortsetzen angeklickt und so weiter und so fort. Nach knapp 90 Minuten waren dann 100% heruntergeladen, beim Versuch der Installation ist mir dann “Installation fehlgeschlagen” angzeigt worden und ein komplettes Neu-Herunterladen. Sind eure Server überlastet, wenn eine Handvoll User gleichzeitig versuchen, Systemupdates herunterzuladen und zu installieren?
Heute, einen Tag später, wieder probiert. Der Download der 2,5 GB hat über eine Stunde gedauert und 12-mal erschien “Fehler beim Herunterladen” und der musste per “Fortsetzen” wieder angestoßen werden. Die Downloadgeschwindigkeit variierte von ca. 250kb/s bis knapp über 900kb/s, gefühlter Durchschnitt knapp um 400kb/s. Immerhin hat die Installation auf /e/OS 3.3 jetzt geklappt. Aber alles in allem nicht gerade ein Glanzlicht für Murena…
Habe nach diesem Erfolg mein 2. cmf-Phone geupdatet. Das hat super geklappt. Downloadzeit wieder knapp 1 Stunde mit 13 (!) Abbrüchen und Fortsetzen.
Wenn das Update mühsam heruntergeladen ist, der Installationsprozess ist ok.

What is a Handvoll User gleichzeitig?
Possibly there are viele Handvoll people at home on holiday or elsewhere playing around with their smartphones and downloading… downloading…downloading…downloading…
I did it 4 days ago. Within 15 minutes i had 2 devices downloaded and installed properly.
Gleiches Problem hier. Armselig. Download dauert schon seit Stunden- trotz 100 mBit WLan. Erfolglos. Da bekommt man keine Lust auf “own a part oft murena”
Ich stoppen jetzt de Update-Versuch. Vielleicht bekommt dann der andere, der es versucht, eine Chance. Schöne Weihnachten!
Das Problem hatte ich auch. Einen Tag gewartet, dann lief’s halbwegs normal. Im Moment dürften einfach viele User Zeit für die Updates haben.
Was mich mehr stört ist, dass es nur eine kurze Meldung über den Abbruch gibt, die man kaum sehen dürfte, wenn man nicht aus lauter Langeweile die ganze Zeit auf den Downloadbalken schaut.

Please note however that this is (mainly) a community forum - you will usually not find any /e/OS developers or sysadmins here. If asked, Manoj can contact them and forward any requests etc. Moreover, you can always report bugs on the /e/OS GitLab, see Report an issue.
