Telegram (no FOSS) App Lounge

Hello, I’m new here and have a question straight away…

I installed the app by calling up the PlayStore link from the Google search in the App Lounge. Now Telegram FOSS is shown as installed in the App Lounge. What are the consequences of this? Will the app be recognised and updated at all?
