Teracube 2s camera app

Hi everyone,

I just bought a Teracube 2s with /e/OS and enjoy it, but the photo quality is really poor, it’s like being back 10 years ago. I was not expecting much, but I need to have correct pictures for my job. Currently pics are so blurry in mid-light, and lightbulbs create wide white lines… I’m considering sending back the phone, which would be sad…

I first switched from /e/OS native app to Open Camera, it improved a bit.

I tried GCAM, but it fails to start and keeps crashing. I’m a bit confused with all versions, would someone have an advice for a version adapted to Teracube? Most topics are about Fairphone.

Or any other app or method to improve the quality? I don’t know what would be the real potential of the cameras with native Teracube app, if there is one.

I can unfortunately confirm the same kind of abysmal performance of the camera app on Teracube2e zirconia. It really is totally subpar, it simply cannot take focused (sharp) pictures. I did not make an effort yet to test other camera apps.

I seem to remember that this was not the case till about 2-2.5 years ago.

If you did test more camera apps, please let us know.

I cannot help with specific advice but have you checked this source Google Camera Ports Download? If you follow the links to stable versions and follow the FAQ and the advice to try the top one, if it doesn’t work try the next, it should work out before too long. :slightly_smiling_face:
