Teracube e USB-C

Tried 2 USB-C – USB Card reader on the Teracube e and none is working, not recognized, I can see the light flashing once on the USB stick when I plug-in, but the USB stick is not shown in the file explorer

They both work on my older Sony Xperia 2 with standard Android v11 version

I checked the settings under System, and cannot activate any for USB, the settings are showing, but cannot be selected, kind of grayed out.

Any idea on what settings to modify to make this work?
