[Teracube] Installing A15 from sdcard?

Hello all,

This is an odd question: I have a non-/e/OS T2e (emerald) that I’d like to move to /e/ – but I can’t get adb to connect to the device at all. I think it’s a hardware issue since the USB-C port is very loose. Teracube doesn’t have replacement USB-c boards for the T2e available.

I see that it was possible to install A12 from the sdcard on the T2e in this page: Steps to install a SDCard and update Teracube 2e from it . Is there any chance to do similarly for A15?

(To make my situation even weirder, right now my T2e is running a one-off LineageOS version of A14, as described in this thread: [Advanced Users Only][Teracube 2e 2nd Batch (SN: 2021)] LineageOS 21.0 [emerald] - #4 by jandr - Teracube 2e - Teracube Community , including a “LineageOS” recovery that seems to have most of the functionality of CWM or TWRP. Neither adb nor fastboot connects to my laptop in the recovery).

Thanks for any advice!

Hello @JandR, Welcome to the /e/ users forum.

If you have a lineageOS recovery, you should use it to install /e/… using https://images.ecloud.global/official/emerald/e-3.6-a15-20260312593772-official-emerald.zip

As the emerald ROM is a Fastboot ROM /e/OS official emerald download when you download the ROM from this link edit the url to remove 4 characters IMG-. Now the standard sideload ROM will download.

The reason /e/ produce a Fastboot ROM is that, back in the day, users had trouble with sideload to Superpartition phones. Take care with any change of Android version.

Wow, thanks for that tip. I had no idea it could be so simple – and would have had no idea if you hadn’t replied. The update went fine, and I’m looking forward to my “new” /e/ T2e.
