I just contacted support with this issue, but I figured I might get a faster answer here: A couple of months ago I started noticing that the screen was beginning to detach from the main body of my Teracube 2e, causing issues with the touch screen registering phantom touches (e.g. pressing on-screen buttons by itself). The problem is slowly getting worse.
The same thread also mentions, that it is likely covered under the 4 year warranty. Should I contact Teracube support with this directly, or can Murena handle the warranty repair?
That would depend on where you made the purchase from. If from the Murena store then sending the details using the form which shows up on this link Contact Us is the correct way.
Please note due to the high volume of requests the helpdesk has a 5-10 day response wait period.
Same thing happened to me. Could try just adding a touch of hot glue to the back to keep it in place. Trust me, the process for replacing the screen (which I did) is a bit of a nightmare.
Thanks! I contacted both Murena and Teracube support. The latter got back to me saying that they can replace the phone for free, so that might be a good option. I would probably just have to flash the new device with /e/OS myself.
Quick update: Teracube sent me a replacement phone on account of the 4-year warranty. They even pre-installed e/OS on the device upon request before shipping it out to me.
The phone arrived last night and I managed to transfer all my data over. I haven’t heard anything from Murena support yet, but I’ll let them know that they can close the ticket.
The only bad news is that e/OS now won’t recognize the fingerprint scanner on the new device, though it seems this is a common problem according to the other threads here. I already tried the trick of toggling the parental controls on and off that appeared to others, but to no avail.
