Termux (API) and termux-open

I tried to find a forum for Termux, but failed. So I ask here:

In Termux, images can be viewed with

$ termux-open file.jpg

Lovely!

But if in some way the file content is changed but not the name, the old version of the file is displayed. Even after restarting the phone!! It does not help to delete the file before creating the new version.

Also, perhaps related: in /e/os File manager, if I delete the file, it don’t disappear from the File manager unless I navigate to some other directory and then back again to Termux’s directory.
