I started my de-googling journey a year ago, and have been using LineageOS for a year. I have been trying to find solutions for all kinds of things, like syncing contacts, calendar, find my phone, etc. I configured Davx5, installed my own nextcloud, etc.
Last week, I bought a phone with /e/ preinstalled, and everything seems to work out of the box! I even have notifications back. Thank you to all the people who have contributed to /e/ and the only phone company that respects my privacy!
I’ve tried Lineage, Graphene, and Calyx, and they’re all great, but I keep coming back to /e/. They have a nice ecosystem and it’s easy to use. And coming from iphone it feels more familiar.
I was over the moon when I realized Teracube had parterned with E Foundation. Best of both worlds - phone model dedicated to sustainability with /e/'s de-googled software. Thanks for all your hard work!
