I personally use four Samsung smartphones (three different models) and a Samsung tablet running the latest version (3.7.1) of eOS. All five devices have the same issue: the on-screen buttons don’t work properly.
To be precise, after restarting the device, all buttons work correctly, but after a while, the middle button (Home button) and the right button (App Overview) stop working. And from time to time, all three buttons stop working. Then I’m even forced to hard reset the smartphone to restart it.
Even if the buttons no longer work, they still provide visual and tactile feedback.
Does anyone have any ideas about this, including how I might be able to debug the problem? Thank you very much.
fwiw 3-button-navi never worked with my Tab S5e (SM-T725) gts4lv (for me that´s since late 2.x eOS-versions), I changed and got used to gesture navigation which works pretty OK, so I never changed back or tried 3-button-navi in the later eOS-versions…
(My S7 still has hardware-buttons, they do work flawlessly)
Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback. I’m currently testing the gesture controls, but I’m not sure yet if they really work all the time. In any case, I personally would go with the on-screen buttons.
