I received me murena two in January 2024. Yesterday I decided to put it aside for good. Using it became more and more frustrating over time, which made it hard to use as a daily driver.
The Type-C-Port is stopping to work more and more. Headphones need to be constantly pushed in at an angle to work. Charging stops and starts again every 5 seconds, but it still charges to 100% over night.
I could not get the cameras auto focus to work. I tried about 5 different apps but every single one of them couldn’t get reliable auto focus. In addition to that, I started to see a lot of dust and debris in the pictures, which seem to be stuck inside the camera module.
The adjustment of the display-brightness is just insufficient. It was one of the first things I noticed when unboxing and turning on the phone for the first time. The range is quite small, but just this week, i came to realise, that the slider in the menu does not change the brightness at all. Now im stuck with a brightness level which is to bright for dark environments and to dark for bright environments. If i turn on auto-brightness it sometimes gets a little brighter or darker, but still not usable.
The only thing that still gets me excited to use the phone, is e/OS. Big thanks to all the people pushing on to make the software better and better with every update!
Why im posting this, one might ask… Well, hope is the last thing to die. So maybe someone has had the same issues and knows a solution → Hit me up!
The Murena 2 is a device we launched with the full intention of providing an alternative to what’s on the market, which is why we launched our crowdfunding and Kickstarter campaigns.
I understand that performance is currently not as expected in several areas, but most importantly, the USB-C port, camera focus, and display brightness.
USB-C port. This part of the device is a bit shorter than conventional phones, so the cable we include in the box has been modified to allow it to stand up. Have you had any issues with this? It’s very likely why the headphones are failing.
We’ve seen the camera focus issue with other units, and the workaround is to try having the camera in automatic mode or testing other camera apps. If the issue persists, let me know.
Display Brightness To resolve this issue, please try clearing Bliss Launcher data and cache from Settings > Apps > All Apps > BlissLauncher. This will unclutter the apps on the home page, but it may help.
It’s very important to make sure your device has version 2.9 of /e/OS installed.
I look forward to your response.

The cache-clearing actually made the Slider work again. But the brightness-levels are still not in a range, which i personally find usable. So thats my Problem, not theirs.
