Transfer Old -> New Phone

Hey, I was wondering if /e/OS has or will have a function which allows transfer data/settings/… from on old /e/OS phones to a new phone. I was told that :green_apple: and Samsung :robot: can do this. I know SeedVault but never managed to get it working with a large pen drive (512 GB, for all data) under /e/OS.

Another usecase is for example to have an uptodate backup device.

I guess there is no app, which can do such things.

You are correct seedvault is troublesome with any external drive be it USB drive or PC. You could save the seedvault backup on internal storage but the backup is of limited interested anyhow.

This official procedure seems to be the best compromise with the backup app that works ok :slight_smile:

Thanks for the feedback. I think this is something that is not doable for an average person. That’s definitely something that needs to be further addressed in future. But anyways, good to know that there’s at least a nice documentation. I didn’t know that. Thanks.
