TTS (talk to speach) issues with navigation

New Teracube 2s user. The phone does not seem to “like” or recognize the TTS app -VoxSherpa v4.4, especially in maps apps. I’ve tried it with the installed navigation app, Mapy, and OsmAnd.

Teracube 2s, running /e/OS v3.7.3

The default phone TTS was Pico, which worked in navigation, but was the old-style choppy computer voice. After installing VoxSerpa and setting that as the TTS preference, the navagation apps no longer have voice directions at all.

Any suggestions for a remedy or alternative TTS system that will work?

(NOT an Android savvy user here, so tech-y solutions may be a challenge)

OsmAnd supports pre-recorded speech packages as a fallback solution if TTS fails. You will have to download the pre-recorded package for your desired language first (you can do that in the maps and resources download section, just scroll down beyond the maps) to be able to select it as speech output for navigation.

are there Apps that do pickup the configured VoxSherpa and work with that?

I had good results with SherpaTTS in Comaps / Organicmaps / Murena Maps and Firefox even
