Hi everyone, new to this forum. I’ve installed latest version of e/OS on an old Pixel 4 to test drive and I’m absolutely loving it.

Planning to install it on my Pixel 8a when 15 will be available but I’m just testing all apps I need for work function on e/OS and noticed the Uber driver app is unable to go online because

Unable to authenticate device

Just wondering if anybody has had same problem and there is a workable solution.

Assuming you are registered it would be appropriate to ask the organisation or their devs under what circumstances this is displayed.

If you search the forum banking threads you will see that many organisations do rely on one or more methods to ensure transactions are being done though some “Official” not “jailbroken” device.

Personal opinion Uber particularly might want to be able to demonstrate to Rider customers that all Drivers are legit.
